Favorite memories . . .
I remember being tucked in at night and falling asleep with my stuffed cat that doubled as a pajama bag.I remember my neighbor turning the jump rope for hours. I still remember the first time I saw my sister-in-law. I was 13. I remember playing whiffel ball in the back yard. I remember picking wild cherries from that tree in the back yard and having a whole neighborhood war with them. (no helmets or eye coverings).I remember when Jake ran a 50 yard touchdown. I remember playing witchie-witchie after dark in the neighborhood. I remember the joy I felt after having each healthy, thriving baby.I remember spending hours at the park with no mothers present. I remember watching Will pitch his first ballgame. (This is a memory I go to if I ever experience pain) I remember my first date. I remember where I was when president Kennedy was shot. I remember being really skinny. I remember when Phil's 3 grade teacher told me he tested for 11th grade math. I remember where I was on 9/11 and what I did. I remember walking a long way to school with the girl that lived 2 doors down. I remember getting my first horse.I remember my brother and his friend getting suspended from school. What memories do you have that you hold near and dear to your heart?

Fear
The fear of . . . stands between man and achieving his goals. If you never try things you will never know what could have been. Set your goals, set your mind and crank up the action. What could be worse than never reaching your goals? Never trying. Inactivity.
So don't let fear be the driving factor in your life. Run at life full speed ahead with both arms open wide and enjoy every minute of every day.

Dreamers. . .
Dreamers make the world go around. Some of the most successful people on the planet were dreamers. They are typically out of the box thinkers with a zest for life. Dreamers have designed video games, carved Mount Rushmore, scaled the highest mountains and quit jobs to stay home and raise children.Would we have ever had a man on the moon without dreamers?
Winners, I am convinced, imagine their dreams first. They want it with all their heart and expect it to come true. There is, I believe, no other way to live.
Joe Montana
If I'm gonna quote somebody, might as well be someone that wears his football pants like Joe did. :)

Giving . . . .
It was recently explained to me by a millionairess that once you acquire wealth, you will still be who you are. I didn't really understand at the time, but it has come clear recently. She explained that lots of money will only bring out "who you are". If you were greedy before, you will be more greedy with money and if you were a giver before you will be more giving after you receive money. I have recently had several opportunities to give and it feels GOOD. It really feels good. I know who I am. Do you know who you are today?

Who has been put in your path today?
I recently had the joy of spending time at the lake with my family. Since the water was way down we were able to cross to the other side of the cove we usually swim and seadoo in and be dropped off to explore. My husband dropped my 19 year old and I off and left us there for a while to fish and look around. We had a wonderful time. He fished and I just generally poked around looking at areas that are usually under water. I took a stick and pushed muscles that were exposed or nearly exposed back into the water, giving them a new chance at life. There were already empty shells all around that had died and been ravaged by whatever came by first. As I was doing this small act of kindness I began to wonder about the people who had been put in my path that might benefit from a small act of kindness. Who has been put in your life today that could use a little extra kindness from you?
